THE CIVIL RIGHTS JOURNEY
JANUARY 10-13, ATLANTA & ALABAMA
Applications are due on October 9th. There are a limited number of tickets spots. Acceptances will be sent out by October 18.
The Civil Rights Journey is an experiential trip that focuses on the civil rights movement and basic human rights. We will meet with speakers who experienced the civil rights movement first hand, visit critical justice sites, learn how Jews were involved in civil rights throughout the south. We will also examine the modern reality for many people who are denied basic human rights through today.
This trip is for Kulanu students in 11th & 12th grade and is organized by Kulanu and Etgar 36. Nina Loftspring and Dori Singer Zoot will join with staff from Etgar 36 throughout the weekend.

Outbound: Thursday, January 10th, 4:40PM
Return: Sunday, January 13th, 2:24 flight from ATL
We will be staying at local hotels in Atlanta and Montgomery. A private bus will transport us between cities and attractions.
As part of our journey, we plan on visiting many tourist attractions and sacred justice sites including: the house and Church of Martin Luther King Jr., in addition to other famous landmarks
Estimate $1,200 including flights. Kulanu is pleased to announce a 50% supplement for each participate, reducing costs to around $600 per participant. A deposit of $250 is due with the application with the final payment due in November.
